Technology
The speech library of the bot is written in AIML, or Artificial Intelligence
Markup Language. AIML uses the Loebner prize-winning artificial
intelligence technology of dr. Richard Wallace of the Alice Artificial Intelligence Foundation.
The chatterbot software has many
interpreters (listed on the Alice Homepage) but my favorite is the
Pandorabots service. It has a simple setup, easy bot-teaching tools and
saves logfiles of the most recent conversations.
